Gonna tempt Apollo's Dodgeball with a wildass take based solely on the Terminal Lore: I think the 'suits' behind the Hell Expedition and the Terminal's existence are responsible for Mankind's extinction, and might've also had a hand in the Final War being as long as it was.
The P-1 Terminal mentioned the record being a favorite of the CRO (Chief Revenue Officer), which is kind of unusual given it's a 1934 record and that would've been /years/ after the Final War was underway. Which does imply that life was going on as usual, aside from the world-wide war. Even after humanity retreated to the backs of the Earthmover's, I would like to believe they were still making music and shit.
Anywhosen, either this CRO and all the other suits involved in the Hell Expedition are really old fashioned OR are a lot, and I mean A LOT, older than their technician underlings.
(All this to say with the way Act 3 has broken the mold of the patterns the first two Acts set up, I wonder if we'll even get a Greek Mythological Figure as the final Prime Soul, let alone Lucifer Prime. What if it's one of these 'suits' that sold out humanity to Hell for a profit, and betrayed God by extending their lifespan?)
#ULTRAKILL#this has been a post#I am aware that this is what the kids call A Stretch#but this is also the same game that set up for the Final War lore drop in the weapon description of the Freezeframe Rocket Launcher#Give me your best shot Apollo#I have nothing to gain nor lose by being right or wrong about this

I'm saving the explicit reveal of what the pattern of the floor looks like for later.
That's because it looks like this (w/ a smaller 5-block star hidden under the table)

Aster has not yet clocked that it's a fucking star, nor is aware that Daz is gonna name their group The Council of the Star.
He's saving that for when he can give Aster a metaphorical gut punch/overrule his inevitable objections about it. He is sooooo normal and reasonable you guys, this is certifiably sane behavior <3 <3 <3
#cocochaos#ficupdates#next chapter is the next turning point with Aleph and Khons!#Daz's secret builders mmmmmmmmmmight have been mentioned already??? but this is setting up for a reveal WAY down the line#it will be funny. and it involves anti real estate practices within Sanctuary in a roundabout way#next fic & Raine's fic are getting love!#the next fic is Shortcuts & Sidebars and so far there are 11 segments#one is actually a three-parter!! I am excited for it for SEVERAL reasons#it leans more heavily into at-home mischief than travel mischief but there is definitely still some present#and then right after that will be Raine. poor bbygirl is having a ROUGH TIME#I've been way more vague about his trauma than I was with Khons and Aleph. this is because his is fucked up in a VERY different way#(but also...more alike than you'd think)#anyway I'm having fun. also I think the launcher I use for minecraft won't let me export my games atm which is concerning#also-also I've been brainrotting hard about more things that will remain in my docs forever (or at least not published on main)

Holy **** oh right okay. So I was about to make a post about how using speech to text has already been a game changer for me but as you can see by the line of asterix at the start of this post the bloody thing auto censors swear words. (Yet bloody got through, ig Because it is a description and also British slang.). Hint: the word I was trying to say there starts with F and ends with K.
Oh and guess what else you can't say you can't say? **** [Nipples]. had to type that myself. penis is ok but **** [clitoris] isn't, and all my attempts to say "clit" were Misunderstood, which may just be my speech but at this point I am not willing to give the benefit of the doubt. Vagina is OK too but every time I say it there is a moment when an * shows up on screen first before the full word does. this doesn't happen when I say the word penis.
It is completely heinous. Anybody who needs speech to text is immediately forced to comply with the rules set out by people in a position of power and then enforced by a machine — a machine that is a very powerful accessibility tool. Imagine trying to dictate a letter to a doctor or fill in an E consult with speech to text, only to have words of your anatomy censored as if they are taboo. there is already far too much stigma around genital physical health — and note that I could say genital but can't say **** [clitoris] — for it to be okay for these words to be censored.
And even if somebody just wants to swear In a message to their friends or write smut/**** [pornography], they should be able to. There is no justification for this feature. No reason for it to be default.
I'm trying to find a way around this. There is a settings icon on the little speech to text bar that comes up, but this only gives me options For the speech typing launcher, auto punctuation, and to set the default microphone. it's making me extremely angry

THE SIMS 3 STORE PRE-INSTALLED
Today marks 25 years of The Sims. Since EA forgot TS3 exists, I’m releasing the entire The Sims 3 Store as an Anniversary Gift. It's all pre-installed and works flawlessly!
It comes with all available fixes and collection folders I’ve personally created for every set. You'll get over 5000 new Buy/Build and CAS items, 11 new worlds, and tons of new gameplay!
INSTRUCTIONS
Go to "Documents/Electronic Arts" and rename the "The Sims 3" folder (or move it).
Create a new folder and name it "The Sims 3" (or whatever the name is in your language).
Extract the contents of the ZIP file in "The Sims 3." Now launch the game.
You'll have to adjust your setting again. Don't forget to disable the in-game Store so you don't get duplicates.
Quit the game. Copy the "Saves" folder from the folder you have previously renamed. You can also copy your Mods and CC in package format.
CAUTION
Never copy over or overwrite the DCCache folder.
If you have content installed through the Launcher (Sims3Pack), you'll have to reinstall it.
I strongly recommend you don't install things through the Launcher from now. It already has a lot of content and it is a known fact the Launcher becomes more and more unstable the more content it has to handle.
Since the entire Store has been decrapified, if you want to install lots or world that contain Store content, you'll have to decrapify those too using MATY's TS3 Recompressor.
I had a report that there was an invisible top in CAS. It doesn't seem to have a CASP resource so it shouldn't cause any issues (like being assigned to a random Sim). It's best to avoid it or hide it or blacklist it using NRaas mods. Do NOT try to save the game while your Sim is "wearing" this invisible top.
UPDATE #1: MARCH 2025
Added some missing content: the Mother Russia CAS Set and the Cool Chap Cap that was given as a secret bonus item in the "Make Me an Offer" page. If there's something else missing, please let me now.
Now NRaas MasterController and the Cheats and Integration modules are included in the pack. This version NRaas MC comes with CAS Compact Mode enabled by default. This should fix the issue of blank/invisible CAS items and also speed up the loading of CAS items. Keep in mind, these mods aren't compatible with Lazy Duchess' Smooth Path, but you can have both. Her mod will automatically disable the fast loading of CAS items.
If you encounter any issues, feel free to reach out to me. I've put a lot of effort into making the installation process as smooth and straightforward as possible. Dag Dag!

You're more amazing than games crashing
Speaking of devs not doing their FUCKING JOBS RIGHT, I played Ultrakill again today and tried to P-rank 5-2 again, because I had forgotten just how bad the lag was. It's very bad. Very very bad. So bad that it made me go play P-1 instead and I actually managed to P-rank that one. So basically, the Ferryman is canonically more powerful than Minos Prime.
#p-ranks are so simple in theory#because obviously you can beat each individual section of a level without dying#that's how you beat the level in the first place#so doing all of them in a row without dying should be no problem!#it is a problem#but anyway i got better! :D#specifically because i have a rocket launcher now#when bosses give you all the time in the world to set up freezeframe rockets you can start the fight with a HUGE burst of damage#very helpful when there are 2 bosses that both give you plenty of setup time#and i finally figured out how to properly core-nuke a bunch of the flesh prison's eye spawns!#when i finally p-rank'd it and the game automatically transitioned to the first gabriel fight#and i was like “ah perfect a nice cool off”#but then i kept parrying way too early because gabriel's projectiles are so much slower than minos'#and i died lol

Creator Notes:
1.There's shininess present on the scarves and the female open coat in CAS. They all look fine in game though.
2. For the female coat with the hood I recommend using close-to-scalp hairstyles. Some short hairs work too; but big, fluffy hairs will clip through. The hood might get a bit screwy with more ample head movements. Also the back of the coat might sometimes clip through the legs when sims are crouching.
3. Scarves:
there are 2 separate files (one for each gender), as they're shaped differently in the chest area.
both scarves work with all the open coats.

Alright I'm gonna watch the travesty that is the live action httyd. So I'm taking notes like for Lilo and Stitch, and I have the original script, and the original movie pulled up, just to be sure I'm not forgetting anything despite the original httyd being seared into my retinas since age 10
TL;DR written post-watch cause this became like 2,000 words, It's bad, it's horrendous. Pretty much everyone is slightly to horribly out of character, they're all mean and/or stupid. It's mostly the same movie, but every change is for the worse, and everything that's stayed the same is acted and directed MUCH worse.
Berk isn't their home anymore it's just some random island close to the nest, the Red Death isn't fireproof, they still fire into her mouth but there's no reason for it now unless you've seen the original, Astrid is emotionless through the whole thing, none of her anger, passion or any other emotion is here.
Toothless and the other dragons are much less intelligent. The CGI looks like a mobile game ad most of the time. Overall, not a single good thing here, don't bother watching it, let alone giving it money. Go watch the original, or read the books and ignore this fucking insult to animation and to How to train your dragon.
Right off the bat:
"This, is Berk" no the fuck it isn't, that's a moldy pride rock. It's so ugly and, small.
Oh, the sheep isn't even real. What too pussy to use a real sheep? It's a fake one attached to a bell like someone wouldn't notice a real sheep bleating or THE GIANT FUCKING DRAGON TAKING IT. I guess the point was they're keeping the sheep safe from the dragons, then why put out bait? If the dragons don't see sheep they won't attack? Probably? Man idk, it's stupid
The opening monologue too, is just. Soulless. More brief and not an ounce of sarcasm or dry humor. Y'know, a big part of Hiccup's way of speaking
Stoick so far is alright. He's not NEARLY as imposing as his animated counterpart, didn't even recognize him at first. Even with real human proportion limitations, still think they could've done more in the costuming department, at least added some height to him cause rn Hiccup is like, up to his shoulder which just feels wrong
CGI so far looks horrendous, a shot of the dragons setting fire to the village looks like a fucking mobile game ad
Hiccup going to Gobber and that whole little scene is much more clunky here. They've removed basically all the sass and jokes from the scene, from BOTH sides. "They need toothpicks don't they" and "little-er" are gone The latter probably because they knew they severely miscast Hiccup cause this guy doesn't look like the scrawny little loser Hiccup is at the beginning of movie 1
Astrid coming out from smoke instead of walking in front of an explosion is just lame and screams "we didn't have the budget"
And on Astrid, Hiccup going on about how cool she is instead of just the delivery of her name letting us know he has a thing for her, is keeping up the trend of these fuckass remakes really struggling with subtlety and visual storytelling
Alright so Hiccup is a straight up moron now
First of all they're putting WAY too much emphasis on the Astrid thing, it wasn't acknowledged at all until a couple teasing comments from the CHILDREN in the arena, NOT Gobber Second of all, the launcher thing he built. Why the fuck does he firemit twice on purpose, at his fellow vikings? In the original it was an accident, he patted it, the mechanism was too sensitive and fired and hit a viking ON ACCIDENT
All the acting is so incredibly, and I hate using the word but there's no better one I can think of, cringe. It feels like a youtube skit more than a movie
And the delivery is horrible, especially on Gobber. In the original you could tell him and Hiccup were at odds but they still liked each other, Gobber came across as a silly uncle figure, who was still protective, and only became serious when he saw Hiccup was a danger to either himself(running out into a fight he wasn't ready for) or others(accidentally knocking a guy out with his launcher) here, Gobber seems to barely stand Hiccup and Hiccup is no better towards him
Okay just don't tell us the Monstrous Nightmare sets itself on fire, alright, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THEN?? (I know because I'm me, but for general audiences it's a weird omission, if I didn't know, I'd assume it was just, accidentally on fire, not something it deliberately did) they didn't bother introducing the rest of the teens either, Hiccup calls them the fire brigade and focuses solely on Astrid, we don't learn the others names till later
The whole dragon attack is so slow and anticlimactc, and this is the last time I'm mentioning Hiccup's delivery, because it's awful. End of story, slow, over-exagerated, not an ounce of the charm and sass Jay Baruchel brought to the role
No talking fishbone rant and Hiccup imitating Stoick. 0/10
So, Berk is no longer their home. BERK IS NOT THEIR HOME. It's just, close to where a "key dragons nest" is… They're setting up for the 3rd movie where they just ditch Berk so it's not a plot hole aren't they? It just, gives so much less weight to everything. They're not defending their generational home they're just, camping out to kill dragons
This was no doubt done to explain the POC vikings, as "the best warriors from all around the world" but. They didn't need to do that. It's a fucking fantasy dragon movie, especially for the background characters, cast whoever you damn well please, you don't need an in-universe explanation that ruins the lore and significance of the main location
The great hall is also tiny and cramped now
Gobber doesn't stay to talk to Stoick, Stoick has to stop him from leaving the hall. Gobber is just an ass here. Fuck this whole movie, bury the script with some C4 and light it up
Okay they mention Valka, by name, that's a good thing, but it's the least I'd expect now that they know exactly where the story is headed
WHY IS EVERYTHING SO BRIGHTLY LIT THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST TENSE SCENES IN THE WHOLE STORY AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE GODDAMN TELETUBBIES HILL UP IN HERE
Overzealous, excited teenager "I have slain this mighty beast!" VS generic protag guy "I DID IT!"
The shot of the reveal of Toothless' open eye gives me goosebumps, every single time. The atmosphere, the score, the slow camera movement and angle. None of that is here, it's just, oh, it's open btw here he is
Okay more of every character being meaner for no reason, why did Hiccup start to leave? In the og he immediately went to cut Toothless loose. Here he has to hear a whine then go back. Jackass
And Toothless doesn't pin Hiccup because the CGI characters interacting with the live humans is expensive and hard to pull off. Also GOD he's so SLOW and just. He feels like he shouldn't be able to lift off the ground, all his speed and agility are gone, and BCAUSE of said sluggishness we linger long enough on his tail to SEE IT MISSING HALF OF THE TAIL FIN BEFORE THE ACTUAL REVEAL. FUCK THIS MOVIES' COMPOSITION AND DIRECTION IS ASS
He doesn't even faint, he doesn't even stumble he just kinda. Looks at Toothless flying away, and sighs. He doesn't look like a guy who got attacked by the scariest dragon they've never even seen, he looks like a guy who saw his car getting towed
The conversation between Stoick and Hiccup is alright I guess, just a worse clunkier version of the original with worse delivery, not much more to say
Ooookay, dragon training, dunno what "trial of flame" is, dumb, will be ignoring it. They seem to be cause they call it dragon training half the time, anyway. Banter is OK, however, "daddy pulled some strings" is such a dumb line. Second, Tuffnut sounds so whiny and him and Ruffnut being held back, 4 years, makes them 19-20. That's. A pointless, mildly weird inclusion
They act childish as ever but they're that much older than the other teens. Again, utterly pointless
"Will you stop that?! You big bag of wool." And so, insulting Fishlegs, for his weight, was absolutely necessary apparently? Isn't this supposed to be the modern progressive remake that "fixes" and "improves" aspects of the original??
As far as I remember, Fishlegs was never made fun of for his weight, not in the first move at least. I don't wanna say with certainty without checking. But in this moment he definitely wasn't, and it further makes Gobber just, a jackass in this version
So. Gobber takes Hiccup's axe, emphasizing how important a shield is. Then Hiccup has to awkwardly tap his shield with his hand to make noise while everyone else still has their weapons?? Why??
Yet again I find myself, asking WHY. Why did we need the dragon manual scene to go on for so long just so Hiccup can simp for Astrid some more? So Astrid can further emphasize how Berk isn't their home and they don't care about it? So we can learn Hiccup and Stoick's house, their home, the home they lost Valka in, the home they cherished. Is like the viking white house and if one of them isn't chief they get kicked out?? The fuck is wrong with this movie??
Unsurprisingly the scene of Hiccup reading the manual is short, lame and without a fraction of the atmosphere and creepiness of the original. It's like he's reading a damn instruction manual and skipping to the part he needs to read
Seeing the ships get attacked is pretty neat, alright that one is a plus
They put the hesitation before the nose touch back, good. But forbidden friendship just, doesn't hit the way it does in the original, it's kinda. Boring, didn't make me feel a damn thing
Okay all the "us girls gotta stick together" is so fucking annoying YOU CAN SHOW THEM BEING FRIENDS WITHOUT POINTING IT OUT WITH OVERUSED MODERN TERMS. Show don't tell, dammit
Gothi standing there moving beads is also stupid and pointless, and her design isn't nowhere near as charming as the original(design being casting and costume)
Exchanging dragon nip for dandelions is also stupid
"Who's a good boy??" Ah so Toothless is in fact, a dog now. Good to fucking know. He seems so much less intelligent here as a whole
Test flight is just bad, bad camera work, bad cgi, bad everything. And no Toothless accidentally running Hiccup through fire in the end. Why remove it it was such a fun little gag
If I don't directly mention a scene, assume it's the same, but worse. That's how a majority of them are, same script with minor alterations and worse acting and animation I just don't have anything to say on those
Not faulting Nico Parker, she's doing the best with what she's got, but what she's got is a bad script and bad direction. Because Astrid seems so cold, and emotionless. Seeing the Red Death and saying "what is that" wtih a complteltly nerutral expression, she sounds like she's asking about an ugly shirt her friend is wearing
Also how do you manage to make the northern lights ugly? How is that possible? Beautiful blues teams and purples vs puke green
"Don't get inloved, my dad respects you too much" VS "make sure they don't find Toothless" So this Hiccup cares more about Astrid's reputation, not her, her REPUTATION, than he does about Toothless' life. Got it. SIMP. FAILTHY FUCKING SIMP What have they done to my boy.
Okay there was one neat shot of Hiccup's hand matching Toothless' paw when they're trying to climb up
"ASTRID GET BACK HERE. THAT'S AN ORDER." So, he's concerned about flaunting power and being right, not just, getting a kid out of danger. He's upset they're not listening to him, not that they could get hurt
Fight between Toothless and Hookfang is extended and I guess it's decently cool, but that, and the longer fight between Toothless and Stoick, just makes everything slower and more anticlimactic. The original was quick and snappy, this is just "we're filling time"
"You're not one of us. You're not my son." Cannot BEGIN to compare to "You're not a viking. You're not my son." Seriously the delivery, the line itself, hits nowhere as hard. I guess bringing up Valka is alright but feels a bit forced ngl
WHY DOES TOOTHLESS HAVE A FUCKING AMERICAN FOOTBALL CROTCH GUARD ON HIS FACE LMAO WHAT IS THAT
Alright final battle, mostly the same but worse, HOWEVER, The occupational hazard line was removed, this one and the setup for it earlier
And Stoick, doesn't say "I'm sorry" nor does he tell Hiccup he doesn't have to go. No no he says he was "just trying to protect him" and that whatever happens up there he's proud. He doesn't apologize, he doesn't take accountability for being wrong
They got rid of "not fireproof on the inside" with the terrible terrors, and therefore, no explanation as to how or why Hiccup decided to fire inside the Red Death's mouth. Especially considering SHE'S NOT FIREPROOF. THEY BLEW HOLES IN HER WINGS AND FLEW THROUGH THEM FOR A COOL VISUAL, COMPLETELY FUCKING RUINING THEIR WHOLE LORE
(EDIT) I was mistaken, someone pointed this out and I went back to rewatch. In the original they blow holes in her wings too, but there it's much more subtle and it's small holes that get torn apart by wind instead, in the remake they just blow massive firey holes in her wings
Stoick apologizing and waiting to see Hiccup alive is alright, but they really should've kept it a father son moment, Astrid doesn't need to be there. Also, just he's alive. No "you brought him back alive" he still thanks Toothless later but that line was a nice acknowledgement to what he did
Well, the rest of it, is just the same, but worse. They acknowledge that Stoick and the others rode back on dragons, I guess that makes sense, it's alright
Snotlout has a non-subplot with his dad which was done much better in the show, not much else to say on that
And that was it. The live action How to train your dragon remake. In a word. Soulless. The same but worse. What they do change is for the worse, not a single person aside from Gerard Butler was cast appropriately, nor designed as far as costuming goes, they bend over backwards justifying the changes they've made and the movie is much worse for it
Every single character is also, meaner for some reason. Only Fishlegs is about the same but more whiny somehow. It's just. Bad, no other way to say it, it's bad. Gobber is the worst offender, he's an asshole to Hiccup, to the other kids, everyone. Hiccup is also so unlikeable and a genetic protagonist with bad delivery. By the end I couldn't give less of a shit if he made it or not cause he was annoying more than anything
Toothless is significantly less intelligent, agile and cool than in the original. Same goes for all the dragons honestly. Trash heap with bad cgi, bad acting and a bad script. I'll be happy when it's forgotten. And I hope the sequel gets canceled, but general audiences will make this at least an 800mil movie so that probably won't happen
#Httyd#Httyd 2025#Httyd live action#httyd live action criticism#httyd live action spoilers#Httyd live action salt#How to train your dragon#Anyone who goes to see this thing in a theater and pays for it immediately loses my respect#Vote with your wallets for real this time#These shitfuck remakes need to end

Tinker

Summary: You were a little oblivious when it came to Bakugo and his flirting so it was only right that you had a little push. ۶ৎ Bakugo x black fem reader ۶ৎ
Context: nicknames (ma, baby, mama), raw, nipple play, Oral (f receiving), missionary, cowgirl, jealous Bakugo,
Word count — 7k (fucking hell)
Babble: I don't know if I like this...
It was no secret that you were one of the best on the support course; you never joined UA to be a pro, that was never your dream. You loved to tinker, build, destroy. Your eyes always lit up whenever you got a new project; some would say you were worse than Mei.
You had made a name for yourself at UA, straight from first year when you helped the hero course with their support items and made some friends along the way.
So even though you were a support course student with a C-list quirk, you were always welcomed in Class 3-A dorms.
"Thank God you're here!" Your brows raised from the sound of Mina's screech. Your pink friend was currently sat with the rest of the girls, snacks all around them as they tried to tackle on what seemed like a new homework assignment that Aizawa probably set for them.
"You guys know damn well I cant help you--"
"No, we don't need your help." The pinkette giggled, gesturing for you to join them.
You huffed as you dropped your bag on the floor, you were still currently in your uniform, minus the blazer. Your shirt had some stains on it from all your tinkering you had done earlier.
"So what do you want?"
"Eh, that's no way to talk to your best friend." You rolled your eyes at Mina's outburst, the rest of the girls giggled, Jirou offered you some sweets as you snatched an empty skietch pad from the circle.
"We haven't seen you in a couple of days. What's so precious that it's taken your time away from us?" Ochako asked, voice slight of teasing as she nudged her knee with yours.
"A boy, maybe?' Hagakure chimed in, your face scrunched up in slight disgust. It's not that you didn't appreciate the guys in your school; you just didn't have time for them. Most of the time.
You weren't a virgin, far from it, but some of the guys didn't give you as much pleasure as tinkering with your gadgets did (pun not intended)
"No, the boys in my course are boring as fuck and expect to just get a girl off on penetration alone."
A beat of silence.
Then the whole group howled.
“Damn, say it louder!” Mina cackled, nearly choking on a chip.
“I’ve just given up on men until I meet one who knows what he’s doing.”
“Oh?” Mina leaned in, eyes sparkling. “So you’re open to the right one?”
You paused, side-eyeing her. “I guess? But no one’s really caught my eye.”
The circle went suspiciously quiet.
You blinked. “What?”
“Nothing,” Jirou said way too quickly.
“Don’t ‘nothing’ me—what’s with the faces?”
“It’s just…” Mina grinned, eyes devilish. “There might be someone who could keep up with you.”
You laughed, leaning back on your hands. “Highly doubt it.”
The group kept giving you knowing glances that started to irritate you, but before you could demand anything, Midoriya walked into the kitchen, his eyes glancing over to you before they lit up.
"You're here." The green-haired boy ran over to you, excitement in his voice. '"ohmygod thank god, ineedhelpwithmysupport--"
"Deku, slow down. You know I can never understand your rambling"
"R--right sorry. My support item’s been acting weird and I wanted to see if you could take a look at it. I didn’t want to bother Hatsume again—last time she added a grenade launcher without asking.”
You snorted. “Classic Mei. Yeah, I got you.”
Midoriya lit up, you already started walking as he rambled on next to you.
Bakugo had watched the two of you walk off together, he had froze mid step as he stepped into the common room, Kirishima and Kaminair stopping behind him.
“…The fuck?” he muttered, eyes narrowing into slits.
"Aww, was that y/n just now? I wanted to tell her about this new game I found." The overenergetic blonde let out as he waltzed up to the girls.
"Where the fuck are they going?" He barked, not caring how outraged he sounded.
"Oh, Izuku asked her something and she agreed. I guess they are getting it over with." The blonde blinked at his pink friend, he must not have heard her right.
"The fuck you just say?"
Mina looked up at him, and her grin spread slow and sweet. “He asked her for something,” she said innocently. “So she said yes. I guess they’re getting it over with.”
Bakugo blinked.
“Excuse me?” His voice cracked around the edges.
“Oh, you know,” Mina said, fake-casual. “He asked. She said yes. So now they’re off… getting it done.”
“They’re working on his support gear, Bakugo,” Jirou cut in, rolling her eyes. “You can calm down before you combust.”
“I am calm,” he growled.
“You’re clenching your fists so hard your knuckles are white,” Hagakure pointed out.
“You’re jealous,” Mina teased, wiggling her brows. “So cute.”
“I’m not fucking jealous!”
Kirishima raised a brow. “You sure? Because it kinda looks like you want to murder Deku.”
“Tch.” Bakugo scowled, shoving his hands deep into his pockets. “Dumbasses. Don’t know what the hell you’re talkin’ about.”
He turned and stomped off, ears red.
“Where’s he going?” Kaminari asked, watching him leave.
“Probably to pace a hole into the training room floor,” Jirou replied.
It had only been two days since you started working on Deku’s wristbands, and honestly? You were kind of obsessed.
They were one of your favourite projects to date. Originally designed by a renowned American tech engineer and brought to life by Mei during your first year, the bands were a blend of precision engineering and brute-force durability. Honing them to perfection? A dream.
Your lab was your sanctuary—quiet except for the bass-heavy rap playlist bouncing off the walls, the smell of solder and metal in the air, and the hum of your tools in your hand.
You were currently bent over the workbench, shorts riding up your thighs, cropped tank clinging to your body as you adjusted one of the internal circuits with surgeon-level precision. You barely noticed the way your hips swayed to the music while you worked—it was instinctual, natural.
Deku had followed you to your lab that day, notebook clutched like it was his lifeline, rambling about specs and hopeful upgrades. You listened. You even took a few notes. Then, you promptly kicked him out.
“I’ll bring them to you when I’m done,” you said.
That was 48 hours ago.
You wiped sweat from your brow, tongue poking out between your lips as you tightened the last screw on the left bracelet. The power calibration was just right now.
“Fuck yeah,” you murmured under your breath, pleased with yourself.
You were about to run a final diagnostics scan when—
“Oi.”
The low, gruff voice snapped you out of your focus.
You blinked, barely registering the thunk of something heavy being dropped on your bench until you looked up—and damn near lost your train of thought again.
Katsuki Bakugo. Resident rage monster of 3-A. Towering in front of your workstation, a towel slung over one shoulder, chest still gleaming from a fresh workout. His black tank clung to every inch of his torso like it had been painted on, and those gray joggers hung low on his hips like they had a damn grudge against your willpower.
Your gaze flicked to the gauntlet he’d dropped, then back to him.
“Can I help you, Bakugo?”
“There’s something wrong with this damn thing,” he grunted, jaw tense. “Don’t got time to mess with it myself.”
Your brows raised in surprise, you heard that he worked on his gauntlets himself. Refusing to let anyone tinker with his babies so yes, you were surprised that he was asking (?) for your help.
You blinked, honestly a little thrown. “You want me to look at your gauntlet?”
“I’m asking, ain’t I?” he snapped, irritation laced with something that felt like… impatience.
You blinked, thrown off. This was… weird. Not that he was asking for help—well, okay, yes, that too—but it was the way he was doing it. Almost like he trusted you. Like he was trying not to sound too desperate, and failing miserably.
You squinted at him, skeptical. “You don’t let anyone touch your shit.”
He just folded his arms tighter.
You scoffed, pushing your glasses up your nose as you looked over him, it wasn't a secret that Bakugo was a hot head, he called everyone he could extra's and blew up at people for little things but he was one of the strongest at UA and he was fucking hot.
“You’re not really asking, though,” you said, grinning. “You’re demanding. That tone? It needs work.”
“Oi—”
“Hush.” You leaned over the gauntlet, trying (and failing) to tamp down your excitement. If working on Deku’s wristbands was thrilling, Bakugo’s gauntlets? That shit had your panties wet. You’d always wondered how the internal mechanisms kept up with the sheer output of his quirk. The heat, the pressure, the exhaust management—how it didn’t blow his damn hands off every time.
Your fingers danced over the gauntlet, brushing the edge of the release valve. “God, this is so sexy.”
Bakugo couldn't help but watch you, you were in your element. The way your fingers ran down his gauntlents, like they were your prized possession. The excitement that glimmerde in your brown eyes as you began to tweak his shit.
His eyes trailed down to your bare thighs, specks of oil and dirt taineted your brown skin but you still looked beautiful none the less.
It wasn't normal for him to have a crush, he didn't do crushes. Yeah he's been with a couple of girls but that was just sex. He had never wanted something more, but yet he somehow had feelings for you and you still were unaware.
He thought he made it obvious a couple of times but the blonde came to learn you were quite oblivious and blind to things that weren't your gadgets.
"I could have fixed this for you right now but I don't have the part I need. I'll have to run to the mall tomorrow for it. That okay?"
“Yeah, whatever,” he muttered. “I’ll come with.”
You blinked. “Huh? You don’t have to—it’s just a quick trip—”
“I’d rather know what you’re puttin’ in my gear, so yeah. I’m coming.” You blinked at his bluntness as he walked out of your workshop, your eyes following the way his back muscles moved as he walked.
Wait.
Did he just sugest that you two spend time together?
Alone?
Willingly!?
It was a mistake to tell your pink friend about your visit from the blonde.
"NO WAY! It's a date. It has to be a date!" Your eye twitched at the level of excitement that came from her lungs.
"it's not a date Mina, he's just being possessive about his gear and wants to make sure I'm not messing it up or whatever." You said as you finished putting on your outfit.
"Yeah, so why you dressed like it's a date?" You blinked at her question, looking in the mirror over your outift. It wasn't strange that you wore an outfit like this, everyone who knew you outside of your tinkering knew you'd like to t dress girly whenever you had the chance.
So yes, a pink skirt and crop top shouldn't have screamed date. But Mina has now put ideas in your head.
“Okay but like,” she started from behind you, voice softer now. “You like him. Don’t you?”
You paused, fingers hovering over your hair.
“…I don’t know.”
She snorted. “Liar.”
You didn’t reply.
Because maybe you did know. Maybe the way your chest fluttered when he called you dumbass with no real malice, or when you watched him spar with Kiri and the others. He was a sight for sore eyes, so yes he found him attraive, as hell. But did you like him?
You said you didn’t have time for any of the guys in your course and while that was true, the most part of it was because you often wondered if the blonde was cocky in other areas.
"Bakugo doesn't do hangouts, Kiri has to drag him whenever we do group hangouts and he just suggested he'd come with you? He's finally given up on sly ways of flirting I'd give him that."
"W-what are you on about?"
The pink girl grinned as she looked over at you, "We told you that there was someone who could keep up with you the other day did we not?"
You glared at her, but she just grinned wider, chin propped on her hands. She hummed as she got up from your bed, pulling your hair out of its ponytail, your curls stopping just below your shoulders.
“Keep it out,” she said softly. “Trust me.”
“Mina…”
“I’ll shut up. But text me everything. Like, updates. Live feed. I want tea in real time.”
And with a wink, she left.
You turned to look back at yourself in the mirror-- no you were not changing. This wasn't for him, you dressed for youself, your girly counterpart to your greasy tinker fairy.
This was not a date. You were just going to to get the part you needed, pick up some manga and other bits and come back and finish of his gear.
You made your way out of your dorm building, walking over to the gates where he said he'd meet you. You noticed him before he noticed you, he wore a white t-shirt with some black jeans...
Fuck, fuuckkkk. Why was he so fine!?
"You're late."
"Huh, I'm actually early," you replied, swallowing thickly as his eyes dragged over you.
You felt your pulse spike under his gaze, and suddenly every word Mina said was back in your head. You crossed your arms over your chest—just to do something with your hands—but didn’t realize it only pushed your boobs up a little higher.
Bakugo's pupils dilated only for a second before he started walking.
"Hey, you can't just walk off."
"Then keep up."
You jogged a few steps to catch him, lips twitching. “You’re the one who invited yourself, y’know.”
“Tch. Only ‘cause you’d pick the wrong shit.”
“Oh, so now I’m the dumbass and the liability?”
His shoulders twitched—maybe from a laugh, maybe from irritation. With Bakugo, it was always a coin toss.
You kept walking, the silence falling in comfortably between you both. You didn't know what to say, you wanted to say something, there couldn't just be silence between you two for the whole time.
But what would you even say? Mina had put ridiculous ideas in your head about Bakugo, and now you didn't know how to act around the blonde.
"Here." You blinked, looking up at him as he handed you his left earbud.
"I can just listen to my own music."
"Huh? What's the point in that if we're together." He rebuttled, shoving the bud into your ear.
"Yeah, but you probably listen to heavy metal, that's probably the only thing that keeps up with your exposiveness." You teased, the blonde clicked his tongue as he pinched your cheeks, causing you to whine.
You were about to scold him, but the sound of his choice of music caught you off guard.
“…Wait. Is this—?”
“Don’t say shit.”
“Is this—SZA?!”
Bakugo growled low under his breath, glaring at the sidewalk like it betrayed him.
“Oh my god.” You bit your lip, grinning. “You listen to Snooze?”
“She’s got good vocals, alright?” he snapped. “Shut up.”
You couldn’t help it. You full-on laughed. “This is so soft. You’re soft. I’m gonna tell Kiri.”
“You tell anyone and I swear to god—”
You were still giggling as the two of you turned the corner. He kept his head turned slightly away from you, but you could see the pink creeping up his neck.
Your fingers brushed his briefly as you walked—just a flick of skin on skin. Neither of you moved away.
“…You listen to music like this often?” you asked quietly.
He shrugged, still looking ahead. “Sometimes. When I’m working. Shit gets loud in my head. It helps.”
Your smile softened.
You didn’t expect him to say something like that.
And maybe you didn’t need to.
It wasn't long until you reached the shop you needed.
It was tucked into a side street—one of those speciality spots that looked half abandoned from the outside but had everything a gearhead could dream of on the inside.
You pushed open the door, the bell above jingling as you stepped into the cool, metal-scented air. Immediately, your eyes scanned the shelves, familiar with the layout. Organised chaos. Home sweet home.
Bakugo followed behind you, hands shoved in his pockets as he glanced around. "This place looks like it's one breath away from collapsing to shit."
You grinned. "That’s the point. All the best stuff is in the mess."
You walked confidently toward the back where the hardware modules were displayed behind glass. “This guy sources from the same place the Support Course pulls from. He just doesn’t bother with the fancy labels.”
You crouched down, scanning the second row until your eyes lit up. “There. That’s the one I need.”
He leaned over your shoulder, close enough that you could feel the warmth of his chest behind you. “Sure that’s it?”
“Do not question me.”
“Tch.” He leaned in closer, voice low. “Just makin’ sure. Can’t have you screwin’ up my shit.”
“Your shit was overclocked and fried through three layers of plating. That’s not on me.” You tilted your head up with a smug smile—and regretted it immediately.
His face was right there.
Crimson eyes. Faint scent of whatever cologne he wore mixed with burnt caramel. He didn’t move, didn’t flinch. Just looked down at you, his mouth twitching like he was about to say something.
Instead, he reached over and knocked on the glass.
“Yo! You got this one in stock?”
An older man shuffled out from the back, nodded, and went to grab the part. You quickly straightened up, heart thudding like a drum in your chest. You avoided Bakugo’s eyes as you pulled out your wallet.
He stopped you with a hand on your wrist. “I got it.”
You blinked. “What? No, this is my—”
“You’re fixin’ my gear,” he said gruffly, not looking at you. “Least I can do is pay for the part.”
“But I—”
“Shut up and let me do it.”
You opened your mouth again but closed it when you saw his ears going red.
You both stepped back out into the sunny street, walking shoulder to shoulder in a much more relaxed silence than before even if he still refused to meet your eyes for paying for the part.
You tucked the part carefully into your bag and sighed contentedly. "Alright, mission complete. Wanna head back?"
Bakugo made a sound like he was already halfway through saying “yes,” but then you turned slightly, eyes catching on a storefront a few doors down.
“Ooh—wait,” you pointed, already switching direction. “Hold up. I wanna check out the manga shop.”
Bakugo raised a brow. “Seriously?”
“You decided to tag along with me, so put up with my side quests.” You shot him a look over your shoulder.
You pushed the door open, the little jingle ringing out again, and walked inside. The place was compact but cosy—wooden shelves lined every wall, organised by genre and series. You let out a little happy sigh and made a beeline for the romance section, already scanning for the next volume of a series you’d been waiting on.
Bakugo followed behind, keeping his hands in his pockets, pretending to look bored. But you noticed how he didn’t stray too far. Not even when you stopped in front of a bright pink-covered volume with delicate art.
“Ooooh—finally.” You grabbed it like it was a treasure, flipping through the pages. “My Star’s Last Confession, volume 10. I’ve been waiting months for this one.”
The blonde glanced at it, and froze.
You caught it. “What?”
“…Nothing.”
Your eyes narrowed. “You know this manga.”
“No, I don’t.”
You raised an eyebrow, stepping closer. “Katsuki. You paused. You definitely know this manga.”
His jaw ticked. “It’s just—whatever. It’s popular. You see it online.”
You blinked at him. “You read romance manga?”
He turned his head like he was trying to physically escape the question. “Tch. Not usually.”
You gasped, stepping in front of him. “Oh my God, you do. Don’t even lie. Wait—wait—do you actually like My Star’s Last Confession?!”
“…maybe.”
You smacked his arm with the volume in your hand. “No way! First music and now manga, you actually have taste.
He rolled his eyes, but his ears were pink. “It’s not about taste. The story’s just… good.”
“Ohhh, so you cried when Rika confessed at the shrine, didn’t you?” you teased.
“I didn’t cry.”
“You so cried.”
Bakugo tried to look annoyed, but the way his mouth twitched said otherwise. “You get loud about everything, you know that?”
“Only things I'm excited about,” you grinned.
You both browsed for a while longer, laughing over a few ridiculous plot twists and complaining about series that dragged out too long. At one point, your hands brushed reaching for the same volume—and neither of you pulled back.
You quickly grabbed your manga, pressing it to your chest, and cleared your throat. “Okay… I’m ready to head back to campus.”
Bakugo didn’t move. “We don’t gotta yet.”
You blinked. “Huh?”
“I mean…” he scratched the back of his neck, avoiding your gaze. “I was thinkin’… There’s a noodle place not far. You hungry?”
You tilted your head. “Like… get food?”
He shrugged. “Why not?"
Your heart did that dumb little flutter again. “...Like, you and me?”
He gave you a look that was definitely not annoyed—just a little too intense. “Yeah. You and me.”
You tried not to smile. “Okay. Yeah. I could eat.”
As you both walked out of the store, bags in hand, earbuds still loosely shared between you, you couldn’t help but feel like maybe Mina had been onto something after all.
You two had a great time, the blonde wasn't the silent brooding type you expected him to be. He asked you questions, spoke to you about your goals for after UA.
The conversation was good-- comfortable, and if it didn't happen more than once, you would have surely thought you were hearing things. But Bakugo was being flirty, in his own ridiculous way.
And to top it off, he paid. Again.
Like it was normal. Like you two did this kind of thing all the time. And somehow, it felt like that—natural, easy. No explosions (yet), no arguing (much). Just the two of you, side by side, eating and talking about stupid things and he made you laugh.
Was Mina… right?
The question had been gnawing at the back of your mind the entire walk back. Every time your arms brushed. Every time he looked over, like he was checking to make sure you were keeping up—even though you both walked in step.
“You good?” he asked, finally breaking the silence. He didn’t look at you, but his voice held something gentler than usual. That gravelly low that came out when he wasn’t on edge.
“Huh? Yeah, yeah. Just… thinking.”
His eyes cut over briefly before he nodded, stuffing his hands deeper into his pockets.
You breathed out, still feeling the leftover heat of him beside you. It wasn’t even cold, but the wind caught your skirt and made you curl slightly inward.
“You cold?” he asked.
“I’m fine.”
“Maybe if you brought a jacket, given what you’re wearin’—”
“What’s wrong with what I’m wearing?” you shot back, brows raised, even though there was a smile tugging at your lips.
He glanced at you, eyes flicking down then back up. “Didn’t say there was. You look good. But now you’re cold.”
I… look good?
You silently thanked God for two reasons: one, that it was dark outside. Two, that you were Black, because the flush rising to your cheeks would’ve been way more obvious otherwise.
“Thanks, by the way,” you said, a little quieter. “For the food. I wasn’t expecting… well, I dunno. Just… thanks.”
“Tch. Told you not to make it weird.”
You rolled your eyes but smiled anyway, and this time when you looked over at him, he didn’t look away.
The gates to the dorms were up ahead, and even though your feet were aching, your chest was heavier at the thought of the night ending.
“I’m gonna start working on the gauntlet,” you murmured. “Should be ready by tomorrow. Midday, latest.”
Bakugo gave a little nod, then slowed just a fraction, tilting his head toward you.
“Y’know… I wanna trade.”
You blinked. “Huh?”
His ears were red. He wasn’t looking right at you. “I got a signed first edition of somethin’ you might like. You give me what you bought today, I’ll trade you.”
Your jaw dropped. “You’re joking.”
“Nope.”
“What series?!”
“You’ll see.”
“Well show me!”
You barely waited for his response before you bolted toward the dorm doors, Bakugo’s low laugh trailing behind you like heat.
He watched you go, a smirk pulling at his lips. In the common room, Mina nearly dropped her phone trying to wave you down as you beelined past everyone and made a beeline for the elevator.
“Girl! Where the hell you—?”
“Later, Mina!” you called over your shoulder, not stopping.
Bakugo strolled in a second later, ignoring the confused looks, a small smirk tugging against his lips.
The journey up to his room was fast, it was probably from all the excitement to see what series he was talking about.
But that excitement soon turned to nerves once you actually got to his room.
It was what you expected to be fair. His room was completely clean and organised, a couple of All Mighht posters and some rock bands, his books laid out on his desk and a pile of gym clothes on his chair in his corner.
You slowly entered the room, jumping slightly from the slam of his door. Your eyes darted over the room, noticing small things that seemed to make sense for him but before you could get a deeper look you felt a nudge into your arm.
A sealed plastic sleeve, slightly worn at the edges from age. Your eyes widened.
“No. No fucking way.”
He smirked. “Yep.”
“You have A Garden In Winter?! SIGNED?!”
The title alone sent a jolt through your whole body. It was one of your favorite slow-burn romance manga—long out of print, basically impossible to find in good condition.
And he had it.
“Don’t play with me, Katsuki” you said, snatching it gently from his hand like it was made of glass.
“Hey—careful with it,” he warned, but his tone was light. Almost teasing.
You stared at the neat signature across the front page, your mouth dry. “How the hell did you even get this?”
Bakugo shrugged and plopped down on the edge of his bed. “Had it since second year. My mom got it signed at some con. Didn’t know what it was until I actually read it.”
“And you read it?”
“…Yeah.”
You looked up from the sleeve slowly, still half in shock. “So you’re telling me you’ve been reading romance manga this whole time and hid it from everyone?”
“Those extras don't gotta know this shit.’,” he muttered, leaning back on his hands.
You laughed—this delighted, disbelieving sound that made his lips twitch.
“I’m not letting this outta my sight,” you muttered, flipping it open like it was sacred.
“So? You tradin’ or not?” he asked, nodding toward the small bag you still clutched.
You set your bag on his desk and pulled out the part he needed, laying it neatly beside his blueprints. You hadn't even realised you sat on his bed until you madce yourself comfortable, skirt riding up your thighs softly.
You could feel his stare on you, you tried so hard to concertate on the book in your hand. Your fingers brushed against the fabric of his sheets untul they hit something wooden.
Blinking slightly, you picked up to woddedn sticks, looking back at the blonde who just continued to stare at you.
"Oh my God yeah, your a fucking drummer boy. Remember from the festival in first year."
Bakugo scoffed slightly, taking the sticks from you before placing them down on his desk.
"Those extras know I'm good at everything and goaded me into playing."
You bit your lip, eyes wandering over him, heart beating slightly against your chest. "Maybe people underestimated you, you say your good at everything-- doesn't mean your actyally good at everything."
The blonde's eyes dipped slightly, gaze dropping to your lips before meeting your eyes once again.
"I am good at everything."
You licked your lips softly, watching how he inched closer to you.
"Some people have to see it to believe it."
You weren't suprsied it happened, what you was suprised about was how fucking amazing it felt.
Kissing Bakugo was just what you’d always imagined it would be. He didn’t do anything half-assed, so you weren’t surprised by the passion behind it. Being this close to him was exhilarating. You could smell the faint scent of caramel on him when you breathed in, tilting your head slightly as he ran his tongue along your bottom lip.
He wedged his knee between yours, prying your legs to open futher as he pushed you both down onto the bed. Your hands were planted firmly in his hair as his fingers ran on the inner skin of your thigh.
He pulled away, the two of you breathless. He didn’t go far, his lips trailing down your jaw and to your neck, nipping lightly as he went. You sighed when his hands moved from your thigh, fingers drifting along the exposed flesh of your belly and trailing lightly up your sides. Your nails began scratching lightly along his scalp and tugging at his soft locks as his teeth worried at the place where your neck and shoulder met.
It wasn’t long before his fingers smoothed their way up your calf. Your breath hitched when he spread your legs wider, tracing one finger over your clothed slit. The look in his eyes was positively feral when they met yours. “You’re fucking beautiful, you know that?”
You moaned softly as he began drawing small circles, but it was short-lived when you pulled the blonde off you, the worry in his eyes was bright before disappearing as he watched you pull your top over your head. His eyes galzed over in lust as they darted down to your boobs that were covered in a white lace.
He leaned in, mouth warm as he traced the edge of your bra with his tongue. You unclasped it and he wasted no time tossing it aside, big hands kneading your tits while his mouth closed around one nipple, sucking hard, tongue flicking until it was stiff and aching. Your back arched into him, fingers tangling in his hair, gasping when he switched to the other with the same slow, tormenting rhythm.
You dragged him up into another kiss, messier this time, as your hands worked beneath his shirt. He pulled back just enough to rip it off, and fuck—he was gorgeous. Cut like a sculpture, every line and dip begging to be touched.
Your hands roamed, nails dragging over his pecs and abs before you leaned up to mouth along his collarbone, feeling the rumble in his chest when you nipped his skin.
He let out a low growl, flipping you further up the bed and covering you with his body again. His forearms braced on either side of your head, hips pressing into yours while he kissed you rough and slow, like he needed to make the moment last.
Then his mouth was gone again, trailing heat down your torso. He tugged your skirt down, and you helped him kick it off, breath catching as the room's cool air kissed your exposed skin. He groaned when he saw your soaked panties—black, delicate, and clinging to your folds.
“You know how fucking long I’ve been waiting for this?” he muttered, hot against your thigh as he settled between your legs.
Your head fell back when his hand slid higher, his thumb brushing slow, deliberate circles over your clit. Even through the lace, it made you twitch.
“Katsuki—” you whimpered.
“You’ve been so fucking oblivious,” he growled, voice rough with restraint. “Actin’ like I didn’t want you. Actin’ like I wasn’t ready to drop everything just to touch you like this.”
You gasped as he slid your panties aside, thick fingers gliding through your soaked folds. “Shit—you're so wet already.”
Then he hooked his fingers in the waistband and pulled them down, slow and deliberate, letting his eyes roam as he took you in bare for the first time.
He groaned like he was in pain. “Fuck. Look at you.”
You spread your legs for him, shameless, your cunt glistening under the soft light, already clenching on nothing.
He kissed the inside of your thigh, then again, higher, until he was just breathing against you.
“Bet you taste even better than I imagined.”
Your hand threaded through his hair, and the second your hips lifted in silent invitation, he dove in.
His mouth met your pussy like he’d been dreaming of it—tongue flat and slow at first, licking from your entrance to your clit, groaning when your thighs trembled around his head. He sucked your clit between his lips and you cried out, hips twitching, legs instinctively trying to close, but his hands were there—gripping your thighs, holding you wide open for him.
He was messy with it. Tongue fucking you between tight circles over your clit, moaning into your folds like he couldn’t get enough. You were panting, writhing, one hand clawing at the sheets, the other gripping his hair like a lifeline.
“Fuck, Katsuki— please—don’t stop—”
That just made him go harder, sloppier, like he was trying to make you come with his mouth alone.
And you would. You were close. Too close.
He pulled back just enough to murmur, “Gonna come for me, baby? Gonna soak my fuckin’ face?”
Your back arched. “Yes—yes, I’m gonna—”
“Good. Make a mess on my tongue.”
It was almost a shame how fast you came. A choked moan leaving your lips, hips rolling, body shaking as he lapped you through it, humming into your cunt like it was the best thing he’d ever tasted.
And when he finally pulled away, his mouth glistening, he wiped his chin with the back of his hand and smirked.
“You good?” His arm came up to wipe the wetness from his mouth and chin, a smirk on his lips when you nodded.
You cleared your throat. “So good.” You sat up on your elbows, watching him stand again and shove his jeans along with briefs down his legs. Your eyes widened slightly at his size, appreciating his body quietly. He was an Adonis, and you wanted to trace over every inch of his body with your fingers and tongue.
He didn’t give you a chance, crawling back towards you. You spread your legs wider to accommodate him. “Do I need to grab a condom?”
“I’m on the pill.”
You weren’t sure why the question made your stomach flutter the way it did, but something about the way he asked—so sure, but still asking—sent heat straight to your core.
“Oh, thank god,” he groaned, leaning down, palms flat on either side of your head as he kissed you deep. The taste of yourself on his tongue was lewd and addicting, your hand sliding to the back of his neck, anchoring him to you.
You don't know why it took you so long, but God, you knew you’d probably never get enough.
“Katsuki,” you whispered, voice airy and pleading as he coated his tip with your slick, your hips rocked up toward him, impatient to feel him filling you up.
He didn’t say a word—just locked eyes with you and began to push in.
Your mouth dropped open on a moan as the stretch began to build. He was so big it almost hurt, your body instinctively tightening around him.
“Fuck,” he hissed, jaw clenched tight. “You’re squeezin’ the hell outta me.”
You whimpered, legs trembling as he sank deeper, inch by inch, until he bottomed out and you swore the air left your lungs.
"Kat—fuck." You were full, completely and utterly stuffed. It was the best kind of pressure, and your cunt fluttered helplessly around him.
He stayed still for a moment, letting you adjust, one hand gripping your hip, the other stroking along your waist to soothe you. Then he started to move.
He pulled out almost all the way, then rolled his hips back in, setting a rhythm that had your breath hitching on every exhale. Slow at first, his pace deliberate, like he was learning what made you moan, what made your thighs twitch, what made you lose your goddamn mind.
“Fuck, you feel insane,” he grunted, voice strained as he dipped down to kiss your jaw, your throat, your collarbone. “So fuckin’ warm, so tight—shit, you were made for me.”
Your hands ran up his back, nails scratching lightly over his shoulder blades. “Faster,” you begged, lips brushing the shell of his ear. “Please, Katsuki, harder—”
Your moans and mumbled pleas of faster and harder were answered with a smirk, the boy between your thighs raising himself up to his knees and lifting one of your legs onto his shoulder. Large hands held your hips firmly in place as he slammed himself inside, tip kissing your cervix as you arched up in pleasure. He picked up speed, the sound of skin slapping skin filling your ears as you bit down on your bottom lip, focusing on the feeling of him filling you up just like you’d always wanted.
“F-fuck!” you cried out, eyes rolling as his cock hit your sweet spot dead-on.
“Yeah?” he growled, hips snapping into yours with obscene, wet slaps. “That what you needed, baby?”
When he bent forward, pressing your leg up toward your chest, the stretch burned again in the best way, your body forced open for him. He sealed your lips in a kiss, groaning as he felt how your cunt squeezed around him when his tongue met yours.
“You’re fuckin’ perfect,” he muttered into your mouth, “wrapped around me like this—like you were waitin’ for me.”
Your walls kept fluttering around him, you could feel your orgasm trying to wash over you, but you didn't want it to end yet.
You pressed your plams aginast his chest, the blonde halted his movements, his brows furrowed as he stared down at you but didn't get a chance to ask you what was wrong.
You wrapped your legs around his waist, pivoting your weight and flipped him over. Katsuki's eyes widened as you took your place, straddling him, cook still buried in your cervix.
"Fuck mama."
Katsuki threw his head back, eyes closed, his bottom lip between his teeth. He looked so pretty like this, his skin flushed and chest heaving, hair mussed from your hands running through it. You leaned forward, dragging your lips along his sharp jaw, breathing in the scent of caramel.
He chose that moment to tighten his hands around your hips, holding you steady as he bucked up into you, forcing you to sit up, your back arching in pleasure. The muscles in your legs burned from exertion, but you kept moving, bouncing on his cock and clenching around him. You knew you’d be sore the next day but felt too good to stop.
One of his hands moved from your hip, fingers trailing across your skin to dip between your thighs, one calloused finger pressing against your clit. Gasping, you moaned his name lowly, your head falling back as you felt your body preparing to throw you over the edge again. “Oh fuck, I’m close.” Voice trembling, you held your breath, letting your eyes close.
He sat up suddenly, chest to chest, feet pressed into the mattress as he fucked up into you. Your hands flew to his hair, moaning as you fluttered around his cock, his breath was warm against you as he whispered praises into your ear
“Katsuki,” you gasped, mouth falling open as your back arched. “I’m gonna—fuck—I’m gonna come.”
“Yeah? Come on my cock, ma. Come for me.”
Your orgasm ripped through you like a live wire—thighs shaking, fingers clawing at his arms, your pussy fluttering around him as he slammed up into you,, milking every last drop of pleasure out of you.
Your toes curled as you rode out your orgasm, nails digging into the pale flesh of his back as you tried to keep yourself tethered to him, feeling as though you might float away, his name shuddering from your parted lips
He slowed, grinding deep, but never let you go. “That’s it. That’s my girl. Fuckin’ beautiful when you come.”
Groaning lowly in your ear, he came right after, his cum painted your walls, the warm liquid filling you up as he continued to fuck you both through your orgasm.
Your thighs trembled around his hips as the aftershocks rolled through you. For a long moment, neither of you moved—just breathing in sync, sweat-slicked skin pressed close, foreheads resting together.
Eventually, Katsuki eased you both down, his back hitting the mattress with a soft thump as you collapsed on top of him, cheek pressed to his chest. You could feel the steady thump of his heartbeat under your ear. His hand found your back, fingers tracing slow, lazy circles along your spine.
"What's so funny?"
You peeked up at him, eyes still hazy with bliss. “Just thinkin’ about how long I’ve been clueless.”
Katsuki clicked his tongue and nipped gently at your neck, just enough to make you squirm. “Tch. Took you long enough. Now you’re stuck with me.”
You hummed softly, but the blonde lifted your chin up to press a kiss to your lips.
“You're stayin’ over,” he mumbled against your lips. “Not negotiable.”
You grinned, brushing your nose against his. “Guess I better get comfy then.”

How to use DXVK with The Sims 3
Have you seen this post about using DXVK by Criisolate? But felt intimidated by the sheer mass of facts and information?
@desiree-uk and I compiled a guide and the configuration file to make your life easier. It focuses on players not using the EA App, but it might work for those just the same. It’s definitely worth a try.
Adding this to your game installation will result in a better RAM usage. So your game is less likely to give you Error 12 or crash due to RAM issues. It does NOT give a huge performance boost, but more stability and allows for higher graphics settings in game.
The full guide behind the cut. Let me know if you also would like it as PDF.
Happy simming!
Disclaimer and Credits
Desiree and I are no tech experts and just wrote down how we did this. Our ability to help if you run into trouble is limited. So use at your own risk and back up your files!
We both are on Windows 10 and start the game via TS3W.exe, not the EA App. So your experience may differ.
This guide is based on our own experiments and of course criisolate’s post on tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/criisolate/749374223346286592/ill-explain-what-i-did-below-before-making-any
This guide is brought to you by Desiree-UK and Norn.
Compatibility
Note: This will conflict with other programs that “inject” functionality into your game so they may stop working. Notably
Reshade
GShade
Nvidia Experience/Nvidia Inspector/Nvidia Shaders
RivaTuner Statistics Server
It does work seamlessly with LazyDuchess’ Smooth Patch.
LazyDuchess’ Launcher: unknown
Alder Lake patch: does conflict. One user got it working by starting the game by launching TS3.exe (also with admin rights) instead of TS3W.exe. This seemed to create the cache file for DXVK. After that, the game could be started from TS3W.exe again. That might not work for everyone though.
A word on FPS and V-Sync
With such an old game it’s crucial to cap framerate (FPS). This is done in the DXVK.conf file. Same with V-Sync.
You need
a text editor (easiest to use is Windows Notepad)
to download DXVK, version 2.3.1 from here: https://github.com/doitsujin/DXVK/releases/tag/v2.3.1 Extract the archive, you are going to need the file d3d9.dll from the x32 folder
the configuration file DXVK.conf from here: https://github.com/doitsujin/DXVK/blob/master/DXVK.conf. Optional: download the edited version with the required changes here.
administrator rights on your PC
to know your game’s installation path (bin folder) and where to find the user folder
a tiny bit of patience :)
First Step: Backup
Backup your original Bin folder in your Sims 3 installation path! The DXVK file may overwrite some files! The path should be something like this (for retail): \Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin (This is the folder where also GraphicsRule.sgr and the TS3W.exe and TS3.exe are located.)
Backup your options.ini in your game’s user folder! Making the game use the DXVK file will count as a change in GPU driver, so the options.ini will reset once you start your game after installation. The path should be something like this: \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 (This is the folder where your Mods folder is located).
Preparations
Make sure you run the game as administrator. You can check that by right-clicking on the icon that starts your game. Go to Properties > Advanced and check the box “Run as administrator”. Note: This will result in a prompt each time you start your game, if you want to allow this application to make modifications to your system. Click “Yes” and the game will load.

2. Make sure you have the DEP settings from Windows applied to your game.
Open the Windows Control Panel.
Click System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings.
On the Advanced tab, next to the Performance heading, click Settings.
Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
Select 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except these”:

Click the Add button, a window to the file explorer opens. Navigate to your Sims 3 installation folder (the bin folder once again) and add TS3W.exe and TS3.exe.
Click OK. Then you can close all those dialog windows again.
Setting up the DXVK.conf file
Open the file with a text editor and delete everything in it. Then add these values:
d3d9.textureMemory = 1
d3d9.presentInterval = 1
d3d9.maxFrameRate = 60
d3d9.presentInterval enables V-Sync,d3d9.maxFrameRate sets the FrameRate. You can edit those values, but never change the first line (d3d9.textureMemory)!
The original DXVK.conf contains many more options in case you would like to add more settings.
A. no Reshade/GShade
Setting up DXVK
Copy the two files d3d9.dll and DXVK.conf into the Bin folder in your Sims 3 installation path. This is the folder where also GraphicsRule.sgr and the TS3W.exe and TS3.exe are located. If you are prompted to overwrite files, please choose yes (you DID backup your folder, right?)
And that’s basically all that is required to install.
Start your game now and let it run for a short while. Click around, open Buy mode or CAS, move the camera.
Now quit without saving. Once the game is closed fully, open your bin folder again and double check if a file “TS3W.DXVK-cache” was generated. If so – congrats! All done!
Things to note
Heads up, the game options will reset! So it will give you a “vanilla” start screen and options.
Don’t worry if the game seems to be frozen during loading. It may take a few minutes longer to load but it will load eventually.
The TS3W.DXVK-cache file is the actual cache DXVK is using. So don’t delete this! Just ignore it and leave it alone. When someone tells to clear cache files – this is not one of them!
Update Options.ini
Go to your user folder and open the options.ini file with a text editor like Notepad.
Find the line “lastdevice = “. It will have several values, separated by semicolons. Copy the last one, after the last semicolon, the digits only. Close the file.
Now go to your backup version of the Options.ini file, open it and find that line “lastdevice” again. Replace the last value with the one you just copied. Make sure to only replace those digits!
Save and close the file.
Copy this version of the file into your user folder, replacing the one that is there.
Things to note:
If your GPU driver is updated, you might have to do these steps again as it might reset your device ID again. Though it seems that the DXVK ID overrides the GPU ID, so it might not happen.
How do I know it’s working?
Open the task manager and look at RAM usage. Remember the game can only use 4 GB of RAM at maximum and starts crashing when usage goes up to somewhere between 3.2 – 3.8 GB (it’s a bit different for everybody).
So if you see values like 2.1456 for RAM usage in a large world and an ongoing save, it’s working. Generally the lower the value, the better for stability.
Also, DXVK will have generated its cache file called TS3W.DXVK-cache in the bin folder. The file size will grow with time as DXVK is adding stuff to it, e.g. from different worlds or savegames. Initially it might be something like 46 KB or 58 KB, so it’s really small.
Optional: changing MemCacheBudgetValue
MemCacheBudgetValue determines the size of the game's VRAM Cache. You can edit those values but the difference might not be noticeable in game. It also depends on your computer’s hardware how much you can allow here.
The two lines of seti MemCacheBudgetValue correspond to the high RAM level and low RAM level situations. Therefore, theoretically, the first line MemCacheBudgetValue should be set to a larger value, while the second line should be set to a value less than or equal to the first line.
The original values represent 200MB (209715200) and 160MB (167772160) respectively. They are calculated as 200x1024x1024=209175200 and 160x1024x1024=167772160.
Back up your GraphicsRules.sgr file! If you make a mistake here, your game won’t work anymore.
Go to your bin folder and open your GraphicsRules.sgr with a text editor.
Search and find two lines that set the variables for MemCacheBudgetValue.
Modify these two values to larger numbers. Make sure the value in the first line is higher or equals the value in the second line. Examples for values: 1073741824, which means 1GB 2147483648 which means 2 GB. -1 (minus 1) means no limit (but is highly experimental, use at own risk)
Save and close the file. It might prompt you to save the file to a different place and not allow you to save in the Bin folder. Just save it someplace else in this case and copy/paste it to the Bin folder afterwards. If asked to overwrite the existing file, click yes.
Now start your game and see if it makes a difference in smoothness or texture loading. Make sure to check RAM and VRAM usage to see how it works.
You might need to change the values back and forth to find the “sweet spot” for your game. Mine seems to work best with setting the first value to 2147483648 and the second to 1073741824.
Uninstallation
Delete these files from your bin folder (installation path):
d3d9.dll
DXVK.conf
TS3W.DXVK-cache
And if you have it, also TS3W_d3d9.log
if you changed the values in your GraphicsRule.sgr file, too, don’t forget to change them back or to replace the file with your backed up version.
OR
delete the bin folder and add it from your backup again.
B. with Reshade/GShade
Follow the steps from part A. no Reshade/Gshade to set up DXVK.
If you are already using Reshade (RS) or GShade (GS), you will be prompted to overwrite files, so choose YES. RS and GS may stop working, so you will need to reinstall them.
Whatever version you are using, the interface shows similar options of which API you can choose from (these screenshots are from the latest versions of RS and GS).
Please note:
Each time you install and uninstall DXVK, switching the game between Vulkan and d3d9, is essentially changing the graphics card ID again, which results in the settings in your options.ini file being repeatedly reset.
ReShade interface
Choose – Vulcan
Click next and choose your preferred shaders.
Hopefully this install method works and it won't install its own d3d9.dll file.
If it doesn't work, then choose DirectX9 in RS, but you must make sure to replace the d3d9.dll file with DXVK's d3d9.dll (the one from its 32bit folder, checking its size is 3.86mb.)
GShade interface
Choose –
Executable Architecture: 32bit
Graphics API: DXVK
Hooking: Normal Mode
GShade is very problematic, it won't work straight out of the box and the overlay doesn't show up, which defeats the purpose of using it if you can't add or edit the shaders you want to use.
Check the game's bin folder, making sure the d3d9.dll is still there and its size is 3.86mb - that is DXVK's dll file.
If installing using the DXVK method doesn't work, you can choose the DirectX method, but there is no guarantee it works either.
The game will not run with these files in the folder:
d3d10core.dll
d3d11.dll
dxgi.dll
If you delete them, the game will start but you can't access GShade! It might be better to use ReShade.
Some Vulcan and DirectX information, if you’re interested:
Vulcan is for rather high end graphic cards but is backward compatible with some older cards. Try this method with ReShade or GShade first.
DirectX is more stable and works best with older cards and systems. Try this method if Vulcan doesn't work with ReShade/GShade in your game – remember to replace the d3d9.dll with DXVK's d3d9.dll.
For more information on the difference between Vulcan and DirectX, see this article:

Sims 3 Settings Setter
DON"T USE OLD USE THIS INSTEAD: https://sims3fiend.tumblr.com/post/777075618948005888/s3settingssetter-new-new-version-new
SORRY ONE DAY I'LL LEARN HOW TO DO THIS PROPERLY LMAO I KEEP FORGETTING Proper release notes and beta edition
I've added support for setting any Config or Option setting, plus live editing of many many others, so it's now release time. Full feature explanation below, but essentially this lets you edit lots of settings ingame directly instead of having to make .package mods, and provides a "better" and more shareable way of editing GraphicsRules.sgr settings (IMO). Sorry if a new post is annoying idk what I'm doing
THIS IS A BETA, I haven't tested a lot of the settings, there are bugs, etc.
DOES NOT CURRENTLY WORK WITH THE EA VERSION
Downloads: Sims File Share Sims File Share - Less stutter config GitHub
More info about what it is (I yap a bunch) under :)
Installation and use
Please note, some settings wont appear until you load into a world.
Download the ASI file and wack it in to your Sims 3 base directory, where the ts3w.exe is located. If you're using one of the presets, make a folder called s3ss_presets and pop them in there (you'll need to activate them in the presets menu ingame).
Make sure you have an ASI loader, these are either from Smooth Patch's ASI portion or dxwrapper. I recommend dxwrapper, just make sure you set the LoadPlugins value to 1 (should be default)
Start the game, you might experience a little more of an initial "freeze" when starting the game than usual, this is from the script logging a bunch of config calls during initialization, there's like 800 or something nuts. It should not have any negative impact on regular loading or gameplay, and I plan to turn the logging off… eventually.
Press Insert to open up the menu. Go crazy and change everything, make the sun huge, crank bloom up, live.
Check the box next to a live setting to have it save for next time you launch, same thing for config but you also have to press save down the bottom because I forgot
Help I crashed/the game doesn't start with the mod!
Please send me your hooks_log.txt if you're experiencing any crashing issues. If the crash is because you set some value to like 7 billion, that's on you, you can just delete the line out of script_settings.ini or go to Settings -> Clear all settings
If you can't get the game to run with the mod, lmk also, please tell me if you're using a launcher, if you're using any other .asi mods, using dxvk, etc. as well as what operating system you're on.
Features
Live Edit
This is the new™ and now main part of the mod. I've mapped out several/most of the exes main "settings" (anything that interacts w/ 0x005a00a0 and some that don't) areas, which allows you to now, in game, change these values whereas before it was a whole arduous process of making .package mods. I mapped these all statically so some of the offsets/addresses might be wrong.
I was gunna list the settings but there's 260~ of them so maybe not?
I plan to add missing specific individual settings from Config eventually. If you think a setting is missing, or if you think I've mapped a value wrong (i.e. you know it has an effect but it's not working with my mod or is crashing you, or one value is changing multiple things), please let me know. Render/er is definitely missing some, that's because the function is scary and I don't like it.
Values (sometimes) have sliders with the min and max value I found in the exe set, if you want to go higher, you can double click to type in your own number.
Some interesting things you can do with the settings:
Set max lots higher than 8 AND increase the radius so it actually shows (will crash if set too high ~35+, need to investigate) by changing values in Streaming
Play in a game where the sun never sets or rises by editing Sky Common -> Sunset/Sunrise Time
Change shadow settings (includes the same thing as LD's shadow extender mod under), extending shadows (they will still look hideous, writing a post about why currently)
Change various light settings to get the perfect look for your game. Some popular mods edit these values for their looks (presets soon?)

Do whatever… this is…?
Game Config
The function we're hooking (0x0058c380) only seems to effect Config (GraphicsRules.sgr in the .exe directory) and Options (Options.ini in the documents/Sims3 directory), but logs a whole bunch of other thing. Feel free to toggle the option in the settings tab and try changing a bunch, it should in theory work because the function is reading and writing but somewhere it gets overridden or something idk 🤷
It lets you set any that fall under those two categories/headings, which means there's some like ForceHighLODObjects that aren't in the actual file and are settable. You might notice some show different values than what they're set as in your config, this could either be that I'm hooking it too early (I don't think I am), or the value is getting overwritten or changed somewhere in the exe. If there's a setting that's in the file but not in the list that you think does something, lmk, but it should capture everything.
I haven't mapped all of the Config/Option settings to Live Edit as they're all split up in the exe, if there's one you want in particular, lmk.
Presets
I've prepared a preset with just the essentials from my GraphicsRules file post with the idea that you can then use this with a stock GraphicsRules file instead of having to manage different versions, giving you the ability to toggle certain things back to default. I might make some visual "enhancement" presets or something later, either based off popular mods or my own insanity, we'll see.
Presets go into the s3ss_presets folder, and currently they stack rather than replace (not intentional but I might keep it)
Known issues:
Rendering toggles need to be re-toggled each load - Easy fix I'm just lazy
Options settings overwrite the actual Options.ini file (idk why??)
Occasionally D3D9 wont hook, I can't replicate this reliably to test so lmk if you can lmao
I mapped all the settings pretty hastily, so some are bound to be wrong
Was flagged as a virus briefly??? Praying this never happens again because I have no idea what to do to fix that dshjakfhhsdaj
Presets stack, if you apply a preset and you have existing values, they stack together… I kind of like that though as a concept so I just added a clear all option to settings, I might rework it later.
Some Live Edit value locations might change during gameplay, resulting in the menu displaying them incorrectly and crashing the game if edited in a broken state. I've checked most off them and they don't seem to, but Render ones did. Let me know if you experience it as I can probably find a static pointer like I did for Render.
Planned things:
Searching. God that'd be good…
Go over existing maps again, some I did early on before I supported static values, 4 float arrays, etc. so I've probably messed some up
Adding every single GraphicsRule.sgr setting to Live
Maybe adding some of my performance mods to it? Or should I keep them as their own individual thing? Mmmm I dunno
I still haven't looked at the way everyone else has been editing the "live" settings, so I should probably do that, there's probably a lot of info out there but at this point I'm too invested in my weird approach djsakfsksaffsa
Updates:
18.10.24 - Hopefully fixed an issue effect people using launchers, as well as a fix for the process hanging after quitting (would look closed but the process is still there in the bg). Also fixed presets applying. 17.10.24 - Hopefully fix a D3D issue that might've resulted in the game freezing/looking frozen. Handles D3D device resets. Will expand in the future to cover other areas maybe.

DXVK Tips and Troubleshooting: Launching The Sims 3 with DXVK
A big thank you to @heldhram for additional information from his recent DXVK/Reshade tutorial! ◀ Depending on how you launch the game to play may affect how DXVK is working.
During my usage and testing of DXVK, I noticed substantial varying of committed and working memory usage and fps rates while monitoring my game with Resource Monitor, especially when launching the game with CCMagic or S3MO compared to launching from TS3W.exe/TS3.exe.
It seems DXVK doesn't work properly - or even at all - when the game is launched with CCM/S3MO instead of TS3W.exe/TS3.exe. I don't know if this is also the case using other launchers from EA/Steam/LD and misc launchers, but it might explain why some players using DXVK don't see any improvement using it.
DXVK injects itself into the game exe, so perhaps using launchers bypasses the injection. From extensive testing, I'm inclined to think this is the case.
Someone recently asked me how do we know DXVK is really working. A very good question! lol. I thought as long as the cache showed up in the bin folder it was working, but that was no guarantee it was injected every single time at startup. Until I saw Heldhram's excellent guide to using DXVK with Reshade DX9, I relied on my gaming instincts and dodgy eyesight to determine if it was. 🤭
Using the environment variable Heldhram referred to in his guide, a DXVK Hud is added to the upper left hand corner of your game screen to show it's injected and working, showing the DXVK version, the graphics card version and driver and fps.
This led me to look further into this and was happy to see that you could add an additional line to the DXVK config file to show this and other relevant information on the HUD such as DXVK version, fps, memory usage, gpu driver and more. So if you want to make sure that DXVK is actually injected, on the config file, add the info starting with:
dxvk.hud =
After '=', add what you want to see. So 'version' (without quotes) shows the DXVK version. dxvk.hud = version
You could just add the fps by adding 'fps' instead of 'version' if you want.
The DXVK Github page lists all the information you could add to the HUD. It accepts a comma-separated list for multiple options:
devinfo: Displays the name of the GPU and the driver version.
fps: Shows the current frame rate.
frametimes: Shows a frame time graph.
submissions: Shows the number of command buffers submitted per frame.
drawcalls: Shows the number of draw calls and render passes per frame.
pipelines: Shows the total number of graphics and compute pipelines.
descriptors: Shows the number of descriptor pools and descriptor sets.
memory: Shows the amount of device memory allocated and used.
allocations: Shows detailed memory chunk suballocation info.
gpuload: Shows estimated GPU load. May be inaccurate.
version: Shows DXVK version.
api: Shows the D3D feature level used by the application.
cs: Shows worker thread statistics.
compiler: Shows shader compiler activity
samplers: Shows the current number of sampler pairs used [D3D9 Only]
ffshaders: Shows the current number of shaders generated from fixed function state [D3D9 Only]
swvp: Shows whether or not the device is running in software vertex processing mode [D3D9 Only]
scale=x: Scales the HUD by a factor of x (e.g. 1.5)
opacity=y: Adjusts the HUD opacity by a factor of y (e.g. 0.5, 1.0 being fully opaque).
Additionally, DXVK_HUD=1 has the same effect as DXVK_HUD=devinfo,fps, and DXVK_HUD=full enables all available HUD elements.
desiree-uk notes: The site is for the latest version of DXVK, so it shows the line typed as 'DXVK_HUD=devinfo,fps' with underscore and no spaces, but this didn't work for me. If it also doesn't work for you, try it in lowercase like this: dxvk.hud = version Make sure there is a space before and after the '=' If adding multiple HUD options, seperate them by a comma such as: dxvk.hud = fps, memory, api, version
The page also shows some other useful information regarding DXVK and it's cache file, it's worth a read. (https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk)
My config file previously showed the DXVK version but I changed it to only show fps. Whatever it shows, it's telling you DXVK is working! DXVK version:
DXVK FPS:
The HUD is quite noticeable, but it's not too obstructive if you keep the info small. It's only when you enable the full HUD using this line: dxvk.hud = full you'll see it takes up practically half the screen! 😄 Whatever is shown, you can still interact with the screen and sims queue.
So while testing this out I noticed that the HUD wasn't showing up on the screen when launching the game via CCM and S3MO but would always show when clicking TS3W.exe. The results were consistent, with DXVK showing that it was running via TS3W.exe, the commited memory was low and steady, the fps didn't drop and there was no lag or stuttereing. I could spend longer in CAS and in game altogether, longer in my older larger save games and the RAM didn't spike as much when saving the game. Launching via CCM/S3MO, the results were sporadic, very high RAM spikes, stuttering and fps rates jumping up and down. There wasn't much difference from DXVK not being installed at all in my opinion.
You can test this out yourself, first with whatever launcher you use to start your game and then without it, clicking TS3.exe or TS3W.exe, making sure the game is running as admin. See if the HUD shows up or not and keep an eye on the memory usage with Resource Monitor running and you'll see the difference. You can delete the line from the config if you really can't stand the sight of it, but you can be sure DXVK is working when you launch the game straight from it's exe and you see smooth, steady memory usage as you play. Give it a try and add in the comments if it works for you or not and which launcher you use! 😊 Other DXVK information:
